Kinesio Taping is a mode of treatment used by our physical therapists to help improve the mobility and support of muscles, joints and tendons to help you along with your rehab. Kinesio Taping helps aide in decreasing swelling, reduce pain and improve muscular performance and function.
The purpose of McConnell Taping is to correct misalignment of the patella, shifting the laterally displaced patella medially into the correct position. When the patella is shifted laterally this will create patellofemoral syndrome (knee joint pain).
